The globe has a superb blackened wood base with fine turning. A very beautiful globe in superb condition. No pocks. It depicts ocean currents, shipping lanes, sea depths, and mountain heights. The globe has retained superb colors. The ocean currents are superb with beautiful shades of blue. In superb condition and magnificent colors, which is very important for a globe. Small Mahogany Empire Style Commode

A charming small mahogany commode in the Empire style, dating from the late 19th/early 20th century. It features four drawers in the front and rests on straight legs terminating with bronze mounts. The front legs are Empire style, while the rear legs are Louis XVI style, typical of Napoleon III furniture, which often displays a match of different styles. Indeed at this period cabinet makers we used to use the best of every style in a piece of furniture The drawers are decorated with a small inlay in lemon wood . Exquisite and rare Louis XVI period display cabinet or bar from the late 18th century. This beautiful cabinet features two glass doors at the bottom. The sides are also glazed, which lightens the piece and adds to its charm. It includes a small shelf and a small drawer in the center, also decorated with brass trim. The upper section comprises two shelves with glass backs. The uprights are fluted and reeded, inlaid with gilt brass. It rests on four toupie feet with sabots and rings. A unique 19th-century Napoleon III period collector's or jeweler's display cabinet. Superb craftsmanship in blackened and gilded wood, composed of two glass doors and two drawers. All the glasses are beveled. The front is decorated with ornamentation and fluting. The top is also decorated with fine ornamentation and features two beveled glass panels.
